Would it be possible, under Author*, to add a new field titled "Contributor*"? A new field where the same functionality of the Author field is available but a field where the Author can add one or more users/email addresses as contributors, even though they aren't the actual author of the article. This way they are notified that an article has been added on their behalf and that the author believes they contributed to.

This would be very beneficial to us as a lot of our changes are collaborative based on the requests of our users.

Hello Bryson,

In a public forum actually all users are contributors. Everybody who have subscribe to the forum's updates receives notifications aobut new topics. So, we even do not have contributors attribute for public topics.

We use contributors for Helpdesk only to grand an access to Helpdesk ticket.

We do have a "share via email" button in each topic. So, author is able to send an email to some "contributors".
