Brasilian Portuguese is very different from Portuguese of Portugal, with lots of verbs and terms derived from native indigenous and influences of European immigrants.

Can you tell us also how differ Brasilian Portugese from Portugese
Brasilian Portuguese (Brasil is a former colony of Portugal) and Portuguese from Portugal, differ almost only in the way people talk, a bit like American english (The USA was also a former colony of Great Britain) just like in USA the indigenous people from North America added their accents to British English making it somehow different, the same happen to Brasilian Portuguese adultered with indigenous accents from the Amazonian native populations, along with some other influencies from other European inmigrants throughout the times just like in USA. nevertheless recently both countries Portugal and Brasil formed an agreement, "The Portuguese Language Orthographic Agreement of 1990"  wich is an international treaty whose purpose is to create a unified orthography for the Portuguese language, to be used by all the countries that have Portuguese as their official language. It was signed in Lisbon, on December 16, 1990, at the end of a negotiation, begun in 1980, between the Lisbon Science Academy and the Brazilian Academy of Letters.

(As in English you have small diffences like COLOR in US english and COLOUR in UK English both meaning the same.)

The Orthographic Agreement of 1990 intends to establish a single official orthography for the Portuguese language and thus to improve its international status, putting an end to the existence of two official orthographic norms: one in Brazil and another in the remaining Portuguese-speaking countries...(not only Portugal, but Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Guinea, S.Tomé Principe, East-Timor, and Galicia a Province of Spain having Spanish as Official language but speaking a dialecto very similar to Portuguese from the same population origins. ( Unlike English or Spanish, wich have also many countries with these official laguages, Portuguese is the only language so far with legal decisions taked to make Portuguese as a single international language - oficially ... )

Hi Sergey.

I'm trying to access this (http://translate.userecho.com/) and it's not working.

How can I help with the translation?

+1

It does work now. Thank you for information.

Hi Vladimir. Now it's working, thank you.

I have some doubts:

  • There are some translated messages, not in review, but they're showing in "en-en". Is there any way to provide the "pt-br" version?
  • We provide some new messages in "pt-br", they'e in "Needs review". Who would validate our suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

Hello Tray,

We've approved and applied all translations. If you see some text that you believe could be translated but don't, please let us know.

Hi Vladimir. I' attaching some images that I found with "en_en" version, but they are already translated to "pt-br". I've sinalized with a red rectangle.

I found 6 more with no translation and sent to your appreciate (need review).
