Weird vote count after voting

Sometimes, when I upvote or downvote for a feedback, the vote count update seems to be erroneous.
For instance on http://feedback.userecho.com/topic/436206-userecho...

1. If I upvote for the (current) 1st post "New project's settings - Languages.".
Before upvoting: there is no count.
After upvoting: it displays +2 (and not +1)... Is it normal?
After downvoting: back to zero (no count displayed)

2. If I upvote for the current 4th post "Now admins able to choose a target category", it's worse:
Before upvoting: there is no count.
After upvoting: it displays +1 (normal ? no, see the following)
After downvoting: it displays -1 (and not back to zero)

3. By the way, on any post, if I vote again for a one where I already voted:
The count is not modified (normal)
But a notification tells that "My vote is accepted" (which is quite surprising).
It would be more user-friendly to get a notification like "You already voted"

You are voting for a reply (comment, not a topic).
In the reply we have no "cancel vote" function. That's why when you vote up then down you have 2 votes different (from +1 to -1).

Yes, this is a vote for a reply (and not the topic).
I'm not sure to understand your answer (from +1 to -1),
but it does not explain to me the weird and different behaviour I observed in each of the above cases:

For instance for the above case #1: before my vote, the count is zero.
After I upvote only one time for the reply, the count switch from zero to +2 (why +2 and not +1) ?

As a (simpler) complement to the above cases, I guess a modification would also make things easier for users: when the vote count can't take your vote into account (because you already voted) and does not modify the total after your click, then
- instead of notifying "your vote is accepted"
- it should notify "you already voted"

Your explanation of the differential of 2 (because +1 is replaced by -1) is clear.
But giving the possibility to remove the vote for a user would be even more clear, with three actions: +1 0 -1
=> isn't it possible to add one more button (0, for zero) between upvote and downvote, in order to let a user cancel his vote?
