Switching Between Pages Doesn't Work

Joseph Fung 6 years ago in Usability & Interface • updated by Vladimir Mullagaliyev (co-founder) 6 years ago 7

When viewing the submissions in a specific state (e.g. all "unmarked" ideas) the pagination links yeild unusual results, e.g. having stories showing up on multiple stages.

As well, because the pagination uses a POST submission, it's impossible to actually link to a page of articles. This makes the pagination feature almost useless.

Hello Joseph.
We try to realize your situation, but everything works fine.
Can you provide where you have this problem (link, selected status, type, order and page)?
Thank you.

Here's the URL we're using (it's a private site - let me know if you need an invitation to see it)

http://tribehr.userecho.com/list/11293-product-ideas/?category=0#module_187060

Uncategorized is the status

Product Ideas is the category

An example would be this story (http://tribehr.userecho.com/topic/102515-deployments-should-be-done-by-a-single-deploy-user/) shows up both on Page 2 and Page 3 (second one on the page, both times)

Uncategorized is the status - "Uncategorized" is not the status, it is feedback without category (related to categories).

Product Ideas is the category - "Product ideas" is not the category, it is the forum.

If you want to see all ideas without status, you have to select setup status filter to "unmarked".

And I am sorry, buy I saw (http://tribehr.userecho.com/topic/102515-deployments-should-be-done-by-a-single-deploy-user/) on page number 2 only. If you will change any filters it can be on other page.

Yes - to clarify

Unmarked is the Status that I have selected

Product Ideas is the Forum

Top Rated is the Sorting

The filters have not been changed between pages.

For example - here is a screenshot from Page 2: https://skitch.com/jbfung/e1ffg/product-ideas-forum-tribehr

And here is a screenshot from Page 3: https://skitch.com/jbfung/e1ffp/product-ideas-forum-tribehr

If you look closely, you can also see another story "TribeHR Should Support Reviews" also shows up on both pages.

Hello Joseph, did you mean that you want to put lin to  an external source which will lead to the second page in pagination for example?

Yes, that's right.

Any further follow-up to this?
